If you read Curling Stones for Lego People via a computer, rather than on your mobile, you may have noticed a new badge appear at the top of the sidebar, you may even have been curious enough to check it out, you may have been with me through my A to Z journey in 2014, or only just discovered it when you read about it now.
I think I've definitely lost the plot this year as the A to Z Challenge clashes horribly with my role as one of the many official Hull Fashion Week Bloggers and I'm also organising a weekend away for many people for the start of May, in a slightly different country. Crazy Times!
What can you expect?
One post per day throughout April, with each post designated by the corresponding letter of the alphabet with Sundays off for sleep, or they would be if I wasn't going to have to squish all my other preparation and events into the only days I have free from the Challenge.
In particular during the challenge:
- Posts will be short
- CAPTCHA will be turned off to make commenting quicker and easier
- I will be visiting as many blogs as I can - if you wish to read more blogs the full list is here and feel free to join in just as a reader
- My theme is... well you'll just have to wait until my theme reveal post on 23rd March!
I'd love for you to join me in my journey, so whether as one of my blogging friends you join in the challenge yourself, or as a regular or new visitor you pop in during April to give me some support, you can sign up to receive posts direct by email, follow via Bloglovin', bookmark the page to check in directly or come back in May once it's safe and browse the A to Z in one go! However you do it - I'd love to see you here!

Yeay! I'm glad you are taking the plunge. I'll be back March 23 to see what your plans are.
ReplyDeleteThanks Liz! Love your new piece by the way, it's lovely... have you found a name for it yet?
DeleteAre you taking part again this year, I think I read somewhere that you're not - was so glad to discover you last year, one of my great A to Z finds :)

Glad you are in for 2015! This is going to be an awesome year for the Challenge!

Cheers Barbara, great tips on the A to Z by the way on your blog!
ReplyDeleteThis is my 2nd year so I'm getting better prepared based on the lessons I learned from the 1st year... or that's the plan as I've not actually written a post yet!!

Quick question...what if I don't blog? But I'd still enjoy being involved in this fun Challenge!
ReplyDeleteDo people do that? If they've never blogged before, take up this A to Z Challenge anyway?
Thanks! ;)
Hi Ashley
DeleteYou can but you'd need to start a blog, but what a great way to start! Here is some text I've cut and paste for you
"We recommend short posts, turn off Word Verification, and visit five blogs (or more) a day beginning with the one after yours on the list.
Blogs must be on an open platform – no Tumblr, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. – and comments enabled.
To streamline legitimate blogs from advertisement blogs, the Co-Hosts will be visiting each blog on this list throughout the Challenge. Blogs on the list showing no activity once the Challenge starts or miss five days in a row will be removed."
In order to sign up you must have a blog address to enter and be posting throughout April, your first post could be "I've just signed up for the A to Z challenge" so that any person visiting ahead of April will know you intend to start on 1st April.
Best thing to do is to go to hte A to Z site (you can get there by clicking the badge in my sidebar) and read the "What is" and the "FAQ" and have a look at the lists.
But absolutely it's the best time to start a blog... I always said if I started a new blog I'd consider launching it in time for the A to Z Challenge!
I will definitely visit you if you do!
